Office Moves and Relocation in Mauritius

BFC Ltd plans and executes office relocations so that staff leave one building on Friday and log in at the new one on Monday, with household moves handled to the same standard.

What we deliver

How we work

A relocation is a construction project with a very short programme, so most of the work happens before the move weekend. We map every item to a destination position, agree the sequence with your IT contact, and protect lift lobbies, floors and door frames at both ends.

Because we also do fit-out, electrical and joinery, the new site can be made ready by the same team, which removes the usual argument about whose delay caused the desks to arrive before the power was live.

Why moves go wrong, and how we prevent it

A move rarely fails because a lorry was late. It fails because nobody agreed who was dismantling the workstations, because the new floor was not ready for furniture on the morning it arrived, because the lift in one of the two buildings was not booked, or because the IT equipment came up last when it needed to be first. So we start from the reverse: what has to be working on Monday morning, and what therefore has to happen on Friday.

From there we produce a move plan — sequence, labelling scheme, floor plan showing where each item lands, access and lift bookings for both buildings, and a list of what is being disposed of rather than moved. Because we are also a contractor, we can carry out the making good at the outgoing premises and any alterations at the incoming one, which is usually where a move otherwise stalls between two suppliers.

Frequently asked questions

Do you move IT equipment and servers?

We handle the physical relocation, protection and reinstatement of equipment and coordinate closely with your IT provider on shutdown and start-up sequencing. Data and network configuration stays with your IT team, where it belongs.

Can you make good the premises we are leaving?

Yes, and it is one of the reasons clients use us for moves. Removing partitions and fittings, repairing walls and floors, redecorating and clearing the space to meet a dilapidations obligation is normal contracting work for us.

Do you work outside office hours to avoid downtime?

Yes. Most moves we run happen over a weekend or overnight so that the business loses as little working time as possible.
