Building and Facilities Contracting Ltd (BFC Ltd) is a Mauritian facilities management and contracting company based in Quatre Bornes, delivering hard FM, soft services and multi-trade contracting under one accountable contract.

Who we are

BFC Ltd was incorporated in Mauritius in January 2026 under Business Registration Number C26230342 and works island wide from a base in Quatre Bornes. The company was founded to change how corrective and reactive maintenance is delivered locally: not as a sequence of disconnected call-outs from unrelated trades, but as a managed service with one contract, one programme and one point of accountability.

We are deliberately an agile team rather than a large general contractor, and the work is structured so that a client dealing with a leaking riser, a failed distribution board and a damaged ceiling speaks to one manager rather than three subcontractors. In practice that means in-house MEP, plumbing, electrical, civil and fit-out capability, with specialist systems coordinated by us where a third party is genuinely required, and site restoration, waste removal and scrap recycling handled as part of the same job rather than left behind for someone else.

Engineering-led, locally grounded

BFC Ltd is led by Dr. Dirajen Pullay Marday (DBA, MBA, BEng, CMgr MCMI, CIWFM, MIoD), who applies engineering-grade diagnostics and strategic logic to everything from complex MEP installations to large-scale corporate relocations. Technical delivery is run by Mr. Ashil Eranah (BEng Electrical Engineering, MSc Building Services Engineering), and site operations are directed by Mr. Nicolas Louise, whose three decades in construction and high-end fit-out cover everything from breaking ground to final handover.

The practical effect of that structure is that senior technical people are on the job site rather than only in the boardroom. The BFS Ltd relationship and VAT invoicing

BFC Ltd operates alongside its sister company, Building and Facilities Solutions Ltd (BFS Ltd), a VAT-registered entity under the same management (BRN C26232568, VAT 28513640). Clients therefore get a single accountable partner with the flexibility of VAT-compliant invoicing where their own accounting, audit or tender requirements demand it. Where a VAT invoice is required, the works are contracted and billed through BFS Ltd; the delivery team, the standards and the point of contact do not change.

Compliance and registration

We work strictly to Mauritian OSHA requirements and CIDB building standards. BFC Ltd is a CIDB registered contractor for Civil Engineering Construction Works (CT/CE/L/M/04338), Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Works (CT/MEP/L/M/04339) and Building Construction Works (CT/BW/L/M/04340). Every contract carries a named engineer, written scopes and method statements, and photographic records at handover, so there is a documented trail of what was inspected, what was replaced and what was signed off.

How we price and how we work

Materials are priced at cost with no mark-up on supply, and the labour and management element is stated separately so a quotation can be compared like for like. Works are scheduled around your operations, including out of hours where a building is occupied or tenanted. Every enquiry is answered within one business day, and every quotation is written, with the scope, the method and the exclusions set out in full.

On site the sequence is consistent: a technical audit using engineering-grade diagnostics to establish the root cause, a design or scope that protects business continuity and safety compliance, then execution under direct principal oversight to Mauritian OSHA and CIDB standards. Progress is reported with photographs, and close-out documentation is issued at handover.

Where we work

Our teams operate out of Quatre Bornes and cover the whole island. We work regularly in Port Louis, Ebene, Rose Hill, Beau Bassin, Curepipe, Vacoas Phoenix, Moka, Grand Baie, Flic en Flac, Pamplemousses and Mahebourg, and we take on contracts in the outer districts of Riviere du Rempart, Flacq, Black River, Savanne and Grand Port. Travel is priced into the quotation, so a site outside the central plateau does not attract surprise call-out charges.
