How we work

Electrical work is where shortcuts cost the most, so we test what we install and hand over the results in writing. That matters for insurance, for landlord and tenant obligations, and for anyone who may need to work on the system after us.

Typical jobs range from replacing an overloaded distribution board in an older Quatre Bornes property, to running clean power and data for a new office floor, to tracing an intermittent fault that has defeated somebody else. We work on live commercial sites out of hours where needed.

Standards, testing and paperwork

Almost every electrical problem we are called to in Mauritius comes down to one of four things: undersized or ageing cable, poor terminations that have loosened with heat, missing or defeated earthing and bonding, or a distribution board that has been extended so many times that nobody knows what feeds what. We start by establishing what is actually there — supply type, whether the incoming is single or three-phase from the CEB, the state of the earth arrangement, and how the board is loaded — before quoting anything.

Storms here make surge protection worth the small extra cost, particularly for lift controllers, pumps, air-conditioning inverters and IT equipment. On completion we label the board properly, record circuit details, and hand over test results so the next person who opens that board is not guessing.
